Before Your Massage
Prior to receiving your first massage, you will be asked to complete a short questionnaire regarding your health and medical history. Please let me know about any area/s where you need extra attention, and/or any area that you want left alone. This will help to tailor the massage to your specific needs.
During Your Massage
Your massage will take place in a warm, comfortable room with soft music or silence. I will leave the room while you undress and then relax on the table. Please disrobe only to the point you feel comfortable. You will always be covered with a sheet or blanket. Your body is only undraped to work on the area involved at the time. A light skin nourishing lotion, cream or oil will be used to reduce friction to the skin. Many people close their eyes and relax and some even drift in and out of sleep. Others prefer to talk and that is also perfectly acceptable. When the session has concluded, I will once again leave the room to allow you time to enjoy the moment of relaxation and to redress.
After Your Massage
Most people experience a deep sense of relaxation and calm after a massage. Many experience freedom from aches and pains. Sometimes the pain is decreased after the massage and can even decrease more the next day. Depending on the type of massage, techniques & depth used during your massage you may also experience mild muscle ache the next day.
